It was recently brought to my attention that when a candidate reapplies to a new position, the Team Discussion notes do not carry over for users who are not Admins. While Admins can see the candidate's full note history, the hiring manager associated with the new requisition cannot. From a recruiting and hiring perspective, this creates a significant visibility gap. Team Discussion notes should remain attached to the candidate profile and follow that candidate across every position they apply for, with appropriate access granted to the hiring managers involved in the hiring process. As the recruiter, I document extensive information during the screening process, including compensation expectations, commute considerations, relevant experience, interview summaries, and other important context. I also document candidate behaviors that may impact future hiring decisions, such as repeated rescheduling, late arrivals, interview no-shows, or prior interview feedback. Without access to this historical information, hiring managers may unknowingly repeat screening efforts or miss valuable context from previous interactions with the candidate. Ensuring these notes follow the candidate profile would improve efficiency, consistency, and informed decision-making throughout the hiring process. Please consider updating the platform so that Team Discussion notes remain visible across all requisitions associated with a candidate profile, regardless of which position they apply to. This enhancement would provide significant value to recruiters and hiring managers alike.
