It's not right that calling a candidate by the name they prefer is behind a pay wall. They put their real name but we should be able to have their preferred name in to our communications with them. It is specific to the candidate experience and seems like a simple option.

I guess what I mean is that we will have to make it a custom field and that is behind the pay wall. Glad you are looking into it. Its especially important given that we us API to move our hires to our HRIS and in the HRIS we want their real legal names in the HRIS but call them by their true preferred.

We currently don't have a "Preferred Name" field at all, but we'll look into adding one. There's a good amount of complexity in adding something as fundamental as a "Name" field, so it might take some time for us to make sure we understand all the potential issues.
