Merging Candidate Profiles. Multiple Issues: Data selection, Candidate removal, Mystery Location

When merging a candidate's profile, please note the following User Experience friction points:
- You can only select information from one profile per section. If you need tags from both profiles, make sure to remember them so you can add them back in after the merge. For example, we tag applicants for every office they apply to. If a candidate has applied to three different office locations, it's important to retain that information rather than only selecting one location and having to re-add the others later. This goes for resumes, scorecards, and everything else.
- Wanting the candidate profile to be complete and fully reflect all their tags, notes, and scorecards in one place does not mean there is a desire to remove them from all other job postings.
- No locations noted on the drop-down to select a position. As in the attached example photo, I am forced to select a position at random and adjust after as needed. A minimum of City and State are needed next to each position title for effective use.
Currently, merging a candidate involves five cumbersome steps:
Step 1: Select which information to keep, choosing only one item from each section.
Step 2: Select a "mystery job" that the candidate has applied for and merge it. I refer to it as a "mystery job" because there is no way to differentiate between job postings with the same title when locations are not included.
Step 3: Use the search bar to find where that candidate profile landed.
Step 4: Go to the candidate's profile and enter any information that couldn’t be included during the merge, such as the missing tags, additional documents, or notes. This step is necessary due to the inability to select individual information in each section during the merge process.
Step 5: Finally, copy the candidate's profile back to each of the other job postings from which they were just removed.

I would like to mention - yes, our organization does have the aggregation feature enabled. However, it does not catch all duplicate applicants, especially those that are uploading a new resume, using a different email, or something of that nature.
