Issue:

We're getting bot applications and fake candidates coming through our careers portal. Many make it to the interview stage but don't seem like real candidates — they appear to be reading answers off a script and their experience seems faked.

Why we're requesting this:

We have no way to check if a candidate's actual location matches what they put on their application. This would help us catch fake candidates before they get further into the process.

What we're asking for:

We'd like Breezy to add IP-based location verification on applications, such as:

Showing the applicant's IP-based location next to their stated location so we can spot mismatches

Flagging applications where the two don't match, rather than blocking them outright

Flagging when a VPN or proxy is being used

We keep spending time screening/interviewing fake candidates that a simple location check could catch earlier
